Overview:
The Street Dance Lunchtime Club is an exciting and energetic class designed for children to learn and enjoy the art of street dance during their lunch break. Hosted by Boom Arts Academy, this club provides a fun and inclusive environment where students can express themselves through dance, develop their skills, and build confidence.
Schedule:
The club runs once a week during the lunchtime period, typically lasting 30 minutes.
Activities
1. Warm-Up and Stretching:
The session begins with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for dancing. This includes cardiovascular exercises and stretches to increase flexibility and prevent injuries.
2. Basic Street Dance Moves:
Children will be introduced to foundational street dance moves such as popping, locking, breaking, and hip hop basics. Instructors will break down each move step-by-step, ensuring that all participants can follow along.
3. Choreography:
- Each session will include learning a short dance routine. The choreography will be age-appropriate and designed to build on the skills learned in previous sessions. This helps children understand how to piece together individual moves into a cohesive performance.
4. Freestyle and Improvisation:
